Were these giants Homo Gigantopithecus which was thought to have become extinct but possibly survived into biblical times? Were giants a different species or were they aliens?
Skeletons of pale red-haired giants with large skulls have been recorded in Sardinia, Peru, Easter Island and North America. DNA analysis found a match with northern Europeans, like Scandinavians and Irish. The question is whether they were in southern areas during the ice age and then moved north as ice retreated or whether they were in northern areas after the ice age and colonised southern areas like the Vikings (who were also pale blond) did.
