Galvanic batteries and electric light

Galvanic batteries have been found in the Middle East and something that looks like an incandecent light bulb is depicted on an Egypt tomb wall . Were these used to light the tombs during construction and decoration as no soot from candles is seen on ceilings?

How would Egyptians light the interior of tombs except by electricity? Use of mirrors would only be practical around one or two corners, but some tombs have several corners and different levels.
